okej.. jag ska försöka förklara för alla där hemma om vad som händer, och inte för att skrämma upp er där hemma utan för att hålla er uppdaterade, vilket jag har lovat att göra. jag bor i new york nu. ute på long island (LI) i ett område som heter locust valley som tillhör nassau county. hänger ni med? new york - long island (LI) - locust valley - nassau county. 

granne med nassau county ligger suffolk county som har fått evakuera. på nyheterna säger de att de ställen som kommer få ta smällarna från orkanen är new jersey shore, new york city, suffolk county (LI) ooch nassau county (LI). för tillfället är det bara en massa regn här men utöver det är det ganska lugnt. vid 8 pm väntas helvetet braka loss.. jag vet inte om vi kommer ha ström eller inte. jag vet inte om vi kommer få stanna hemma eller om vi kommer bli tvungna att evakuera. just nu vet jag ingenting. vi håller koll på nyheterna så gott som 24/7 men jag vill inte kolla för mycket eftersom det skrämmer upp mig.. rejält. 

jag har packat alla mina viktiga papper, mitt pass, pengar och försäkringskort i en återförslutningsbar plastpåse. förhoppningsvis är den vattensäker utifall att vi skulle behöva lämna huset väldigt fort. 

tidigare ikväll var det ännu en jordbävning men denna var betydligt mildare än den förra. endast 2,9. den som var tidigare i veckan var 5,9. dagens jordbävning var förvisso inte i new york utan lite längre söderut men enligt nyheterna rör den sig mot new york. och för första gången på evigheter är nyc nästintill helt öde. subways, bussar, taxibilar.. det mesta står stilla. hela manhattan berkänas bli översvämmat. över 9000 flyg har blivit inställda. mother earth is really pissed off, that's all I can say!

next to nassau county is suffolk county. suffolk county is evacuated and on the news they are saying that the most blows from the hurricane will come on new jersey shore, new york city, suffolk county (LI) and nassau county (LI). at the moment its just a lot of rain but nothing more than that. according to the news, which we are following basically 24/7, the hurricane will be here around 8 pm. 

I have packed all my important documents and money in a zipper bag that will hopefully keep them safe in case we need to leave the house in a hurry. 

earlier tonight there was another earthquake. though this one was only 2,9 and not really in new york but according to the news it is moving up to new york. for the first time in like.. forever, nyc is basically all empty. the subway, the busses.. everything. manhattan is expected to be flooded. mother earth is really pissed off, that's all I can say.
